INCIDENT REPORT:0010. Full System Shut Down. PROGRESS: 17 out of 100.

| Full Shutdown Protocol Initiated. Strategic recovery before escalation. Industrial Strength Bastardry — Kevin Wikse. |
Something sucker-punched me early last week.
An upper respiratory infection came in hot—an order of magnitude beyond anything I’ve dealt with before. System failure. Full shutdown protocol initiated.
Total rest. No negotiation.
Now the body feels ready to get back under the 100kg / 220lb Bender Bar.
That’s precisely the moment mistakes get made.
I’ve spent too many years in the steel bending and heavy iron hoisting game to confuse “feeling better” with “fully healed.” They are not the same.
Seventeen bends already proved the trajectory. The capacity is there. The road to 100 is real. And yes—I want to chase 18 bends so badly I can taste it.
But eagerness is not wisdom.
So here’s the call:
Another week.
Let the system fully rebuild. Let inflammation clear. Let connective tissue and lungs come back online completely. Return raw and ready—not half-primed. No bends attempted.
Long-term victory prioritized over short-term ego.
Industrial Strength Bastardry is not reckless.
It’s measured.
